hello evry1. i would apologize for not updating but its not like anyone reads this so haha. but for the 3 ppl tht do, sorry.

so schools done, had a great vacation; went to egypt...kinda sucks, thn went on safari in kenya...alone...now that was awesome, i also picked up golf. totally into it now. hitting at the range every alternate day now.

nothing big happening really, although i did break my driver head at the range today. stupid thing jst dropped off. hopefully i can get it replaced, otherwise ill get a bettr one. LOL!

The Heart Of Worship

Lord with humility I write this, Father I ask for Your Holy Spirit to speak and move through this entry, touch everyone who reads this, open their eyes of understanding I ask, may Your Will be done, glory and honor be to Your Name, in the Name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.

Many people have wrote about true worship and expounded on what worship really means, but I believe there's always more in the things of God, and we can only receive more when we have the right attitude and heart which God will fixed His eyes on.

What is a heart of worship?
Ps 51:17
The sacrifices of God [are] a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart-- These, O God, You will not despise.

A humble heart is a heart of worship, humility is a very general word, let me explain in God's term.

Humility is recognizing that God's Holy, and after realising we're nothing but just a man, and that we're undone, we submit to Him and His Will, and follow His ways, it gives us an unquenchable thirst and hunger to seek and adore Him, and an unexplainable trust in God.

It's His Holiness, that makes Him so worthy to be praise, it's because of His Holiness that's He's deserving of all blessing and honor and glory, it's His Holiness that makes His sacrifice on the cross means something, because He was without blemish so that He can have victory over death, hence setting us free from eternal death, giving a remedy for our sins, if we believe in His work on the cross and confess that He is God.

Isa 6:1-3
[In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one cried to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy [is] the LORD of hosts; The whole earth [is] full of His glory!"

Isaiah saw God's Holiness, and it results in a true attitude of worship and it completely changes his life.

Isa 6:5
So I said: "Woe [is] me, for I am undone! Because I [am] a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The LORD of hosts."

A revelation of God's Holiness, humbles and transforms a persons spirit into a broken and contrite heart hence God can touch his life, enables a person to have fellowship with God, and makes the worship a person gives acceptable and pleasing in God's sight.

The only character of God that is sounded so ever loudly from the beginning of the Genesis to the end of Revelation is "I AM HOLY".

Rev 4:8
[The] four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: "Holy,* holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!"

It's the beauty of His Holiness that compels us to worship and adore Him, that makes Him worthy.

A heart of worship is a heart humbled by His Holiness, a heart that sees the Holy God, a heart that cries Holy Holy Holy, because of His Holiness, He loves unconditionally, His glory is everlasting, His faithfulness is unquestionable. He cannot deny Himself or go against Himself because He is Holy.

A heart of worship is found in every true worshipper. A true worshipper is always found in His presence, His tabernacle.

A worshipper with a heart of worship, is a perfect man, pleasing in God's sight. Perfect doesn't mean sinless, but is a man like David, a man after God's own heart.

What do you mean a perfect man?
James 3:2
For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.

What do you mean stumble in word?
James 3:9-10
With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

Matt 15:11
Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man."

Many fall into this category.
Matt 15:8-9
'These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with [their] lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching [as] doctrines the commandments of men.'

It's only when we have a heart of worship, and we tame our tongue, purifies our worship and songs to God, creating a sweet aroma unto God, it's only then can we truely please God with our worship.

And we ought to repent and cleanse ourselves everytime we enter into a time of worship, how many times do we do that? No wonder we only get a tiny bit of God's presence, we need to do it lest we offend the Holiness of God's presence, and I can tell you for sure if you honor God's Holy presence, your worship will be in a deeper and more intimate level, when you'll be in the fullness of His presence.

yeeeehhhhh. hey guys, ok. so worship. wait lets start with synergiz. so seeing Jeff Deyo and the band was awesome, i mean talk about true worshipers! it was also a very encouraging and inspiring few days. this ears synergiz was great man. visions tht i had like a year ago, and kinda forgot, were shared by others, close friends actually. rite now i can go into it and talk aout it coz we agreed to keep in on the low. just be ready coz we're coming haha.
rite worship. about 2hrs ago, i felt prompted so i went into my room and sang a song of worship and sure enough, i was spoken to. this is the verse; John 3:14. "and as Moses lifted up the serpant in the wilderness, even so the Son of Man be lifted up." WOW! worship. acknowledging God, saying you love him, thanking him, praising his name. it comes from the heart and it need not necessarily be in song, it can be in prayer as well, simply spoken. if its from the heart, and your connected with God, talking to him, thanking him, then, even though you may not notice it, you are worshiping....well that is at least to me.
i really believe that understanding worship and growing in it connects you better with God's own heart. his plan for your life becomes a reality and you start to see things happen.
now, the first thing however, is to make sure we're right with God. sin is everywhere and its not easy growing up in this day and age trying to overcome it. but let me encourage u all. our strength comes fom God himself! we are not of this world. we do not belong to it. we are not ruled by our flesh. when i get tempted, i tell myself this over and over again. it works. when we get that and put it forward in our daily life, no power in hell can stand against us!
THERE CAN BE NO VICTORY WITHOUT A BATTLE FIRST!
this is what a leader in our church told me. this is so true. there can be no victory if we dont have to struggle. let us rise and take up the challenge. we are the chosen generation and we will see our generation changed! amen!
hahaha my spirit is just so excited because i know that great things are to come. very soon.

yoyoyo. hey ppl. ok so we lost the competition. and i got the lowest score, was kinda discouraging but that night so many other, greater things happened that it really isnt that big a deal anymore. my apologies to wei qin however for going off key on the final note. my bad.
ok, so i haven't done this in a while; the reason being that i was not in a good place for a while. like kinda confused about stuff but now its good so yeh.
we just finished this years synergiz conference and it was awesome. Jeff Deyo and the band were just rockin. lots of thing to learn from them and the speakers. so it was an awesome week. ill go into like details on the various things another time. but for now;
i believe ive found a part of my ministry. Worship. its like the most awesome aspect and privilege that we have as Christians. You pour out your heart, through song or prayer and for a time there is a connection between you and God. wow, so thats what my life is going to be focused around from now. another thing about it is that we can just dwell in his awesomeness and the realization hits us, God starts revealing things to you. anyway gotta cut this short. take care guys and God bless.

wow...we really do serve a faithful God. at the point where everything was up against us going for the competition, in one day, the email came thru saying we were in, my throat is so much better its unbelievable i mean wow.....theres just one last obstacle to get passed but im so sure tht God will handel it im not worried haha.....keep Wei qin and I in prayer guys....besides....we are kinda representing VFC u know haha.

ok...now i realized something through this period. When I first heard of the talent competition thing i was like finally I can show people that I can sing, from there it became Lord for your glory and honor. BUT somewhere along the line, I lost focus on that and that's when things started to go wrong; the throat and all. Anyway I need to thank Wendy for mentioning that she doesn't feel the heart coming through, which made me realize what was really going on. after repenting; woohooo...lol everythings good. so yeh, in all that you do, keep your primary focus on God, coz He helped you do it in the 1st place.

ok...so the auditions are this saturday. on monday i had my first rehearsal with Esther S and it went pretty good, but my throat was kinda soar so hopefully it will be ok soon haha. so if any1 wants 2 come and support us..pls feel free 2 do so...umm then the semi finals r on the 10th of march, which im pretty sure we'll reach....and the finals are at synergize on saturday afternoon....hope to get there...haha anyway...tnx 4 the support guyz

Yes i like pink and i will write this entry in pink...problem? ..ok then don't read la...ha ha.
Ok so building from what i said previously about the importance of fellowship. so like we spend the whole week in school and during that time we spend it with our school friends, in my case, and many others in sure, they are not Christians or they are nominal Christians, meaning they just call themselves Christians but they don't live their life as they should.
Anyway, so that leaves Saturday and Sunday. Now in my case, my church has net groups on Friday nights and our youth service is on Saturday night, and obviously Sunday we have normal Sunday service. In my own opinion, i think that we still don't fellowship enough. When I talk about fellowship I'm not referring to prayer meetings and youth service. I'm talking about just going out with your Christian friends for either dinner or to just hang out. I really think that we need more of this. One of my best friends, who is now in the army, and i used to do this once in a while, it helped our friendship grow and it helped strengthen me spiritually.
I think that we spend the whole week surrounded by all sorts of garbage, that's why we need more fellowship, as youths or adults. I'm going to make it a point, personally to meet up with a few of my close friends at least once a week, besides all the church organized occasions.
So lets increase our fellowship so that we can strengthen each other by surrounding ourselves with the kind of people that share the same vision as we do. The right kind of people bring out the best in you. Just like my friends do in my life, and i thank them for it.
FELLOWSHIP people is a main tool we can use to strengthen ourselves spiritually because by spending time with the right people more often, we are blocking out all the rubbish of the world. So think about it, can't you spend two hours a week bonding with your friends, who you know will build you up instead of tearing you down?

ok, lets get real here for just a sec. living a life of trying to honor God through is NOT easy, especially in this day and age where temptation is everywhere in every shape and form! but see the thing is, especially with Christians, after or while we are doing something that we know we aren't supposed to be doing, we feel convicted, which i assume is a feeling none of us like. but we NEED to hold strong and keep pressing day by day, pls for the few of you that actually read my blog, we have to move towards that ultimate prize, again its not easy, i know! trust me, the environment that I have to go into everyday is rancid in terms of spirituality, and yes we all do fall, but thank God that His mercies are new every morning which enables us to press on. Jesus is coming back guys, we have to get cleaned up and turn our lives into a living testimony, starting with myself. God bless you all, lets pray for each other and keep the fellowship going because without it, we will start to fall astray, i will build on this tomorrow, so for now lets keep praying and take everyday head on for GOD.

so y am i so happy?
well my mother always told me to change the way i act and treat my parents and stuff or God would teach me himself, that was like years ago and i was like meh whatever. BUT ...

i had a flu kind of thing, but then it like evolved into some weird throat nose infection thing. to save u guys the details, i basically couldn't breath through my nose at all and my tonsils were swollen, no its not tonsillitis. anyway, its Tuesday now and i still have it but its all subsiding. ok, big lesson here. during this whole thing, i realized how my mom takes care of me, and trust me, for me to look at my mother in that way means alot. like she would go down and but stuff at any time just so i could eat what i wanted coz i was like bed ridden for a few days.

anyway, basically i had to learn a life lesson the hard way, so trust me guys, learn and change before God teaches you the hard way. like now I'll never look at my mom like the way i used to, i have a much deeper appreciation for her and I've learnt that I should be nicer and more respectful to her. thats got to change in my life. and thanks to all of u guys out there who have been praying for me through this whole sickness period.

well now i have to go and take my medicatin haha.. thank you Lord.

rite, so this is more like a personal entry, but i will try and link it to something that I believe we should all put into practice. on the way to Church this morning, i lost my phone in a cab. this particular phone wasn't exactly a cheap phone so i felt the pinch pretty hard. anyway, i only realized it was gone about after an hour after i arrived at church, so calling the cab company wasn't exactly helpful.

anyway that was that, so a few minutes after i realized that i had lost my phone, it was time for worship. now, i was very upset, but i made a decision that i wasn't going to let this incident affect my worship.
see, the thing is that no matter what is going on in your life at any given time, even right before worship, you shouldn't let it affect how you worship. why? because God is still worthy no matter what. yes i lost a very expensive phone, and yes my parents won't exactly be pleased with that, but the fact is, God is God and he is worthy at any place, at any time and no matter what circumstance you're in. so i put everything aside and worshiped God.

so yeah the point of this entry? never say that you're not in the mood to worship God because it is not about YOU at all and it doesn't matter if you're in the mood or not. the point is that GOD IS WORTHY! so worship HIM always no matter what. today was one of my lowest days but i worshiped and i believe that i was blessed. SO WORSHIP GOD AND BE BLESSED!

just got back from a youth rally! if you're reading this and u were there, then u would know why I'm so excited...this entry is not going to be me sharing, but its just simply an encouragement to all those that heard the word today. be strong guys! WE ARE the chosen generation. its hard i know, but one day every knee will bow and tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. so be strong and let us all ground ourselves in His word so that we will see a revival in our generation line no other has ever seen. AMEN!!

first of all..thanks 2 everyone thats been behind me on this so far, i just hope more and more people will start to read this blog.

in my previous entry, i talked about how God desires obedience from us more than he desires sacrifice. today, I'm going to talk about something completely different. this morning was the first time i ever did quiet time. for those not too familiar with what this is, its when you sit in silence with a worshiping heart and you wait for God to speak to you, be it through his word or directly.
anyway, i woke up early, listened to some worship music and then waited on the Lord. I must admit that it wasn't easy waiting for 20mins, but the word that I got just blew my mind. i opened my Bible and found myself in the book of Ezekiel chapter 2 verses 16 to 19. The heading of verse 16 in my version of the Bible is Ezekiel Is a Watchman. basically these few verses talk about how Ezekiel had been made a watchman over Israel by the Lord and how he was to deliver the words he heard from the Lord to the people. in verse 18, God begins to speak to Ezekiel about the responsibility that he now has, if God tells his that this wicked man shall die, and if Ezekiel doesn't warn him from his wicked ways, then that man will die and his blood will be on Ezekiel's hands. however, if he does warn the man and he does not change his ways then he shall still die BUT Ezekiel would have saved his own soul.
i feel that this teaching applies to us just as much as it applied to Ezekiel. If we are the servants of the Lord and we were put on this earth to expand His kingdom, then surely we are watchmen, which would mean that if we see our friends doing or going to do something that is detestable to God, then it is our duty to say; "Thats not a good idea man", or just say stop!. if we don't, then according to the word, we will one day be accountable.
its very easy to do, i am practicing it myself. just try it, the worst they can do is to not follow your advice. be a true friend to the people around u. don't be a stumbling block, help them find the light.

ok...so its been ages since i've updated...dunno y, well basically no time, but hey! ive learnt new things and hopefully i can share what ive learnt with u and it will help. ok, so lets get started.

so, in 2006 i recieved a word saying obedience is what the Lord desires, not sacrifice. ill be building on this in this entry because it took me almost a year to figure it all out. in the past, when i just started developing a relationship with Christ, the thought that i had in my head was that God looks for those that are willing to give their all even if it means dropping everything. this is true! BUT thats not what its all about. c i grew up in Uganda because my parents were sent there over 20 years ago as missionaries. over time my dad grew to love the place and we ended up staying there because he started his business over there, so i never had 'church friends' or a youth fellowship at all. so when i move to Singapore in 2004, it wasnt exactly easy for me, but the church was a great support to me and some of the friends i made then have become my best friends now. anyway...all this links in because growing up overseas, i never had a real relationship with God therefore, i didnt know what he wanted me to do or to be like, so i started making "sacrifices" for different things and always found a way to link it to serving God.

In the meantime, my relationship with my mom was deteriorating very quickly. i was becoming rebellious and i eventually started living a double life, one to please the Church community, and one at home. then the word came. and slowly it was revealed to me that thats not what its all about.

c the point of me saying all this is that we can sacrifice averything we have, money, time, friends...everything that we see as important and simply put a label on it saying.."Lord all this I give to you, let your will be done" and yes! its what we should be doing, but if we, as the children of God, dont listen to him and obey him, then all our 'sacrifices' mean nothing, yes you may see blessings in you life...and thats because giving is a way of God, but it doesnt mean ur pleasing Him. i dnt want u all 2 get tired...so ill cut it short for now...think about it...r u being obedient...to ur parents, elders, GOD?? or r u sacrificing thing and labeling them?

hmm...new post.? lets see. ok so the usual thing is that we are always fired up when we're in Church but during the week in school we're like different people. once again i know its not easy, but itsn't it worth the try? i mean like seriously, what makes school different? lets see: different friends, different environment. if you all can think of anything else please tell me because i can't think of anything relevant.

For those who were at the edge yesterday, that should have been a major wake up call to all of us. exactly what kind of friend are we?...by lettng people die, literally!

For those people who were'nt there, we started a new topic on FRIENDSHIP, this is a bit of what was shared that i found was very important;

FRIENDSHIPS that last

Ecc 4:9-12

Definition of a friend:

- 'a friend is one who comes in when the world goes out'

- 'a friend is one who warns you'

- 'a friend is one who accepts you the way you are, BUT LOVES YOU TOO MUCH TO LEAVE YOU THAT WAY'

Do we meet ALL of these three definitions of friends? If you do then i'm really sorry for wasting your time. However if you dont, think about it. I'm not saying I do, but im definately going to try because the reality is, the type of friend we are, says alot about who we belong to. So be a good friend.

To all the Christians out there. i know that its hard. i mean im in an international school, you think you have it bad? But its time that we stand up for what we believe in. It doesn't mean go all out and start preaching! Its the little things that count. Show by example. I say again, i know its not easy, but we have to try. What would have happened if Jesus said it was too hard. Remember, He was as human as us all!

And I know its very hard to stand up for what we believe in but at least try! It took me a while to realise it and i wish i had realised it sooner! I mean think about it, if you dont tell them about Christ and get them Saved, they will all go to Hell!! Do you really want that to happen? Can you call yourself a real friend if you LET that happen? Stand up for what you believe in! In the end it will all be worth it.

we are all put here for one thing. Its all for the KIngdom. Although it is important, its not ALL about our career, getting the best grades in school and all that. Believe it or not, its because we all have a purpose which GOD wants us to accomplish. Many people don't believe in God, you'll find that usually these peoplpe are in denial, or if they do they don't want to be 'tied down' to a "religion".

Well i have news for you. First of all God Does exsist and HE created you for a purpose. For those who are "afraid", i'll call it, of religion. Christianity is not a RELIGION!! Its a relationship. Only in Christ are we truly free and saved. If anyone still has doubts and questions, or if ur saying "THIS GUY'S A FREAK/ WEIRDO..." or something like that, then talk to me. ill try and answer the questions you have. If not, then God bless.

And remember HE LOVES YOU AND DIED FOR YOU. NOTHING YOU DO CAN CHANGE THAT. NOTHING!!!!!!!
